Charlie first impressed M.R.F.A. with his attitude and technical capabilities at our Great Dunmow Development Centre in 2014.
After a trial at Leyton Orient, Charlie attended a trial at Hotspur Way and signed for Spurs in October 2015 where he has gone on to represent the Category One Academy at the U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16 and U17 age groups.
Charlie has now signed a scholarship contract for the 2023-24 and 2024-2025 seasons that will see him combine full-time professional football training with his A-Levels.
M.R.F.A. Founder, Michael Richardson, said, "We're absolutely thrilled for Charlie. Charlie was one of M.R.F.A.'s first ever regular players way back when we first began in 2014, and over the past 8 seasons he has flourished at one of the best Academies in the country. Now Charlie is entering full-time football, it presents a whole host of new challenges, which I am positive he will be able to cope with.
One thing that Charlie has always shown is his excellent mindset and attitude towards his game and any challenges thrown his way. I know his whole family are very proud of his achievements to date and have also had to sacrifice with the long car journeys, many nights at training and no doubt some very early morning's.
A huge well done to Charlie and hopefully he can continue his journey towards becoming a professional footballer!"
