Epping development centre vs partner club

Our U8s at our Epping Development Centre recently played a friendly match against our partner club Epping Youth FC.

Our Academy Manager, Scott Cuthbert says "we have seen a huge benefit for the players and coaches in our friendly fixtures across our centres. Being able to see firsthand our coaching topics implemented in match scenarios has given players and coaches alike a chance to develop."

Offering our players valuable match experience is a crucial component of our holistic development approach. By enabling our players to actively participate in matches, we not only enhance their skills and tactical understanding but also lay the groundwork for a seamless progression through our player pathway towards our esteemed sister club, FC Evolution. Match experience bridges the gap between participation in our regular training sessions and the opportunity to advance to our Academy sessions. The exposure to competitive matches allows our players to put their training into practice, fine-tune their abilities under real-game conditions, and develop crucial decision-making skills on the field.

Moreover, this match experience forms an integral part of the developmental journey towards our Junior Premier League teams at FC Evolution. As players showcase their talents and growth in match scenarios, they become better equipped to transition smoothly into the competitive and challenging environment of the Junior Premier League. The progression from our training sessions, through match experiences, and ultimately into the Junior Premier League teams symbolises a clear and structured pathway for our players to realise their full potential and excel in their footballing endeavours.
